Tara has a few songs about women’s issues, domestic violence, and child abuse. She performs such theme based songs at women’s conferences and other relevant events to support organizations who assist with such matters. To book Tara for such a conference/event please click here.

Tara hails from Boston's vibrant folk scene and has been performing all over New England for over ten years. Matt Smith of Club Passim has called her an 'innovator'. With a single djembe drum Tara pounds out foot tapping, rhythmic landscapes to back her effortless, melodic, and soulful voice. In a storyteller style, she draws you into life's light and dark currents. Cross-cultural relationships, love, the earth, the joys of simple life, motherhood, and the struggle to be true to oneself, are just some of the subjects she sings about. Tara has been living in New Hampshire for the past eight years and within that time has found three stellar accompanists including upright bassist Ramsay Thomas, acoustic guitarist Lou Eastman, and harmony singer Kate Baker who have joined with her to form the 'Tara Greenblatt Band'.

Her most magnificent works of art are her two young sons ages seven and two. She spends her time balancing motherhood and creativity, keeping her pulse on the mysterious force that calls her to craft songs. She is currently recording her third CD which she plans to complete in the summer of 2012.

Along the way she has opened for and sometimes accompanied known artists such as Erin McKeown, Melissa Ferrick, Oen Kennedy, Susan Levine, and Edie Carey. Some recent shows and venues include Club Passim, the Mariposa Museum, King Hooper, and the 2011 Benefit for Rosie's Place.

Her CD 'River Belly' (2005), and Tara's debut CD "Caught Between the Woods and the Road" (2001) are both available online at

The Tara Greenblatt Band will be performing at the Antrim Grange this Saturday, Sept. 24, at 7pm!
The Antrim Grange is a Community Arts venue displaying visual artwork and featuring local musicians. Come out and here provocative and soul stirring original songs that travel on the beautiful stringed tapestries of my amazing accompanists Ramsay Thomas and Lou Eastman. Sadly we will be without our fourth member Kate Baker, who supplies smooth harmonies, but we may be blessed with an appearance by Doug Frankenburger, a great slide guitar player, who'll sit in and add sultry sonic strands to our songs.
